Kyosei Philosophy |

 |
At the core of Canon's brand, business, and sponsorship initiatives lies Kyosei, a Japanese word meaning "living and working together for the common good ". Aware of the fragility of social, economic, and environmental balance in international trade, we have made it our mission to be an excellent global corporation by conducting business with commitment and integrity, giving back to the communities in which we live, and caring for this earth that we share.
Canon products are designed to benefit our customers beyond satisfaction and also to help them join in on our collective effort to preserve our environment. Environmental considerations are prioritized from initial stages of product development through to product recycling in order to minimize our carbon footprints and ensure sustainable development. For this, Canon has garnered an ISO 14001 certification – a certificate granted to companies who consciously reduce harmful effects on the environment in their activities.
Beyond Canon's company activities, Kyosei is practiced through Canon's participation and sponsorship of environmental preservation efforts, educational aid, and the relief, support, and empowerment of those in need.
The Canon Kyosei philosophy is the fabric of everything we do and is applied to every level of our operations and interactions. We believe that being good corporate citizens is not merely a responsibility- it is a necessary step towards a better future for all.

Shoot photos, not animals! [3rd November 2007]
Our Corporate Communications team had a blast at the Singapore Zoo hunting for photo ops with students from three special schools- Metta School, APSN Katong School, and APSN Centre for Adults. The day was packed to the brim with tram rides, a mini photo contest, a fun educational zoo programme, and of course, intriguing animals. This outing is a part of the Canon Photography Exchange Programme, which is all about sharing the joy of photography with the less privileged.
